It is a casual stroll to air taxi services, the National Park Ranger station, our museums and local radio station (KTNA 88.9 FM), climbing, hiking, riverside fishing and/or boat charters, gift shops, restaurants, bike trails, and dog mushing, skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. We also have five mountain bikes available to share for our guests. Our rates are hard to beat. Our rooms are $60/single, and $70/double. Your host, Paula, has lived in Alaska since 1980. She's commercial fished, lived in remote areas of Alaska, driven dog sleds, drives the local ambulance, builds cabins, and built this guest house. All accommodations include: Movie videos, television, radio alarm clocks, full kitchens, private bedrooms, private bathrooms, local phone service and our bicycles are available at no charge. We have 5 mountain bikes, 1 touring and 1 3-wheel bike. Oh yeah, we also have a ping pong table. Pets are welcome upon pre-approval. All of our guests are eligible for 10% off on flight seeing tours and some other activities. We don't accept commissions, instead we pass the savings on to you. Located on a quiet street, 2 blocks from downtown Talkeetna, we are 1 block from the airport, and 4 blocks from the Railroad station. This puts many activities within easy walking distance.
